What is PE (Physical Education)?

The definition of PE is Physical Education. PE is a subject that most children are required to do at Primary and Secondary school.

Primary school PE consists of a diverse range of activities that physically move the body and hence incorporate exercise and often team playing.

Athletics

This is perfect for both team players and children who enjoy playing sport independently.

Activities vary from the 100m dash, high jump, shot put, discus, javelin and the 4x400m metre relay. This makes it a great way of nurturing a range of abilities and strengths among children.

Athletics is often many people’s favourite event at the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games – encompassing huge crowds, many countries and a highly charged atmosphere.
